Stable Yard Cottage has been sympathetically refurbished and furnished with a pleasing mix of contemporary and period furniture which gives a warm and homely feel. Situated in Greenlaw in the Scottish Borders it has charming country views south across Blackadder River to Greenlaw Mill Farm and Catmoss Hill. The cottage forms one of three sides of an open courtyard, together with a barn and the estate wall of Castletoun House. Unusually for a village property the position offers a certain seclusion, without being isolated. All rooms (except the laundry room) have open southerly country views.

Please note all guests are asked not to smoke in the cottage.

The spacious accommodation, with central heating throughout, consists of a classic style modern kitchen has an oil fired, two oven Aga, a combi microwave and breakfast table. Both a washing machine and tumble dryer are provided. The large living room, with flatscreen TV with freeview also has a video, DVD, CD/radio and free Wi-Fi access. The wood burning stove has a supply of logs included, there is a double sofa bed, for occasional use, and a dining area. A heated hobby workshop (no tools) is suitable for painting, sculpting, woodwork, model making etc.

Ideally, for family use, there is a large bathroom, and a shower room upstairs alongside three double bedrooms, two of which are double bedded and one contains twin beds sleeping six in total. Three WCs in total.

Linen, towels, utilities charges (except phone), fuel and logs are all included in the rental costs. A cot (no linen), stair gate and two high chairs are available.

It is within a minute's stroll of the centre of the village and yet is as quiet and rural as a country cottage.
