Moray Cottages are two luxury 4 Star self catering holiday cottages in an exceptional barn conversion amid wonderful countryside only a short drive from the thriving town of Dufftown.Both self catering cottages, in one of the most glorious locations in Scotland, are equipped to the highest standard. Each has a private garden, open fire and fabulous views over rolling hills toward Auchindoun Castle.

Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms
This comfortable cottage, on the end of the barn, is ideal for families of 3 or 4, friends holidaying together and couples. It enjoys fabulous views over rolling hills toward Auchindoun Castle.
The generous comfortable bedrooms each contain twin bedrooms, pine furniture and velux windows.
Its cosy living room and inviting open fire make it suitable throughout the year for holidays and short breaks.
The spacious, fully equipped, fitted wood kitchen includes a dining area.
The Cottage has a family shower room and w/c plus a 2nd WC on the ground floor.
Pets are also well catered for with a large enclosed garden to run around.
Sleeps 5 in 3 bedrooms
This cottage, in the centre of the barn, sleeps up to 5 guests. Suitable for families or friends.
Mill Cottage has a king-size en-suite bedroom, a twin and a single bedroom.
The large comfortable living room, with open fire, has a massive window for panoramic views out across the valley.
There is a downstairs WC and an upstairs family bathroom.
Again the cottage has a large enclosed garden, ideal for pets and children.
Outside
The accommodation stands at the end of a well made track completely surrounded by farmland amid glorious views. At night, with no light pollution, guests can enjoy the stars!
Each cottage has a separate, quiet, enclosed garden with great views and secluded areas for relaxing and enjoying a barbeque. Vehicle access to the front door with parking.
Local area
Moray Cottages are 1000 feet above sea level set in a peaceful and totally rural location, with glorious views, surrounded on all sides by fields, half a mile from the nearest road. Visitors can escape from the noise of modern life.
One mile away is Dufftown, where you will find everything you need; from pubs, hotels and restaurants; a great butcher, bakery, and shops to a petrol station, garage and hospital.... not to mention 7 distilleries including the world famous Glenfiddich Distillery.
Moray Cottages lie at the heart of Scotland’s Whisky Trail, approximately halfway between Aberdeen & Inverness and make an ideal holiday base from which to enjoy the host of activities and attractions that abound in Scotland’s North East. Huntly, Elgin, Keith, Grantown on Spey and Aberlour are all close by.
From the Cairngorm National Park to the golden beaches and rocky cliff paths of the Moray Coast, there is golfing and fishing, castles and distilleries, not to mention fabulous walking, winter skiing, and outstanding wildlife including seal and dolphin watching nearby.
Both cottages offer masses of interior living space, each with a new, fully fitted kitchen providing all the conveniences of home, oil fired central heating, open fires, TV with Freeview, DVD, electric blankets on all beds and double glazing. The weekly rental is inclusive of electricity, central heating, all bed linen & towels, fire kindling & logs and a free bag of peat (2 free bags October to April).
