	Cairnlea is a spacious detached bungalow located in a rural setting on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park. This comfortable holiday rental property has a secluded feel, whilst being located only a few minutes, by car, from the attractive market town of Newton Stewart. From the enclosed landscaped garden guests will enjoy lovely views across Bargelly Glen to the beautiful Galloway Hills beyond.

	This single storey holiday cottage offers generous accommodation for six guests in large rooms with comfortable furnishings a modern kitchen and bathrooms. The three bedrooms are of a good size comprising a double room with en-suite shower, WC and basin, and two twin bedrooms. All bedrooms have large wardrobes and drawer space. The larger than average family bathroom contains a full white suite including bidet, shower over bath and shaver point. In the large modern kitchen are stainless steel appliances, including a split-level electric double oven, a 5 ring gas hob, built under dishwasher and fridge, a microwave oven plus ample cupboard space including a pantry. A full selection of cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery is in place for self catering. Separated from the kitchen by a half wall is the good sized dining room which is well furnished and equipped for 6 adults with potential to extend the table to seat 8-10 if required. The washing machine and freezer are located in the utility room which also houses the modern central heating boiler, to supply on demand heating and hot water, a Belfast sink and a drying creel. The tumble dryer is located in the attached garage. A large picture window with stunning views of the Galloway Hills and offering close-ups of the abundant wildlife is the feature of the sitting room. With comfortable seating for 6, and a living flame gas fire as a focal point, this room offers a range of home entertainments including a 26" LCD TV with video recorder, an HD DVD player, a radio/stereo and a selection of games, books, videos and a few DVDs. All bed linen is provided but we ask that visitors bring their own towels. The property is not suitable for wheelchairs, as the toilet doors are narrow, but otherwise, everything is on one level and it is suitable for partially disabled. Children are welcome and there is a high chair and travel cot in the hall cupboard. Well controlled dogs are also welcome.

	Outside

	The enclosed landscaped garden with flowerbeds, shrubs and lawn provides lovely views across Bargelly Glen to the Galloway Hills beyond. The garden is home to an amazing collection of wildlife including numerous small birds: Great Spotted Woodpeckers, Jays and Buzzards etc. It also enjoys regular visits from the elusive Red Squirrels. Bird food is provided so visitors can keep the birds stocked up. There is ample gated parking space for 3-4 cars. Garden furniture is also provided. The garage provides safe storage for bikes etc.

	About 400 metres from the gate of Cairnlea is the Kirroughtree Forest Visitor Centre. This is the starting point for numerous way marked walks through the lovely forest, passing lochs, waterfalls, fishing burns etc. It is also the starting point for the renowned 7 Stanes mountain bike trails (some of the best in Europe). The Centre has a cosy tearoom, shop, and information together with a fully equipped children’s adventure play area. Newton Stewart offers a full range of amenities including shops, pubs, restaurants and tearooms. A little further afield there are Golf Courses, Beaches, Fishing Lochs, Rivers, hill walks, Nature and RSPB Reserves, Museums, Public Gardens and much more.
